Legacy FC 44 Results: Morono Stops Araujo

On Friday, Aug. 28, Legacy Fighting Championship held its 44th event from the Arena Theatre in Houston.

In the night’s main event, welterweights Valdir Araujo and Alex Morono locked horns. The Blackzilians fighter Arajuo is a well-traveled veteran of the sport, having competed for World Series of Fighting, Bellator MMA, Championship Fighting Alliance and M-1 Global. The 30-year-old recently appeared on The Ultimate Fighter: American Top Team vs. Blackzilians, but was not offered a contract with the UFC. Morono, meanwhile, has been a regular staple of the Legacy cage. The Houston native was making his eighth appearance for the promotion. He’d stopped seven of his nine career wins before the final bell.

The night’s main card aired live on AXS TV beginning at 10 p.m. ET.
