Three Reasons to Watch ONE Fight Night 19

After the Valentine’s Day fun wears off, it won’t be long before ONE Championship fans get to sit back and enjoy another helping of martial arts action from the Asia-based promotion, as it returns to U.S. primetime this Friday, February 16, with ONE Fight Night 19: Haggerty vs. Lobo.

Gold will be on the line in the main event, but the full lineup is guaranteed to offer up plenty of thrills, and all of it will be available live and free for Prime Video subscribers in the U.S. and Canada.

Here are three key reasons not to miss ONE Fight Night 19 this weekend.

Haggerty Hoping To Stay On Top

Jonathan Haggerty has long been one of the most talented strikers on the ONE Championship roster, but he ascended to the stratosphere in 2023 when he finished Nong-O Hama and Fabricio Andrade to claim the ONE Muay Thai and kickboxing titles, respectively.

The two-sport king will defend his Muay Thai crown for the first time against Felipe Lobo in Friday’s main event, and the sensational matchup will give the Brit a chance to further prove why he has become one of the biggest stars of the sport.

Lobo shouldn’t be counted out, though. The Brazilian has shown a ton of heart, and more importantly, a lot of power in his three wins from four promtional outings.

An upset could very much be on the card here, and fans will be treated to a banger as this striking pair settle their differences.

American Muay Thai Takes Center Stage

Featherweight contenders Luke Lessei and Eddie Abasolo will collide in Muay Thai action at ONE Fight Night 19, and there clash could have huge implications for the stacked division.

But beyond title runs, these competitors have a chance to show the world how far American Muay Thai has come along on a global platform. Lessei and Abasolo are both coming off losses to the featherweight Muay Thai elite in ONE, so they’ll be itching to show they belong in the hunt in the world’s largest martial arts organization.

This match is a chance to highlight their technical acumen and take the next step forward.

Lessei enters as the fifth-ranked featherweight contender – a spot that rising star Abasolo undoubtedly has his eyes.

That contest, coupled with both their intent on getting back in the win column and their focus on showcasing American Muay Thai, should make for a firestorm inside Lumpinee this Friday.

Williams vs. Adiwang Is A Guaranteed Banger

Danial Williams and Lito Adiwang will compete in a strawweight MMA bout that could very easily steal this show at ONE Fight Night 19.

Both men love to scrape and throw leather while seeking out a finsih. And they have been steadily improving their ground game throughout their respective tenures in ONE as well.

Whether this ends in the first round or goes the full 15 minutes, Williams and Adiwang will certainly entertain fans with nonstop action from start to finish.

This is a fan’s fight, and it is guaranteed to deliver on its promise of fun.

ONE Fight Night 19 airs live on Prime Video on Friday, Feb. 16. The action begins at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST and is free for all Amazon Prime subscribers in the U.S. and Canada.
