Dan Kuhl has been following MMA since the first Ultimate Fighting Championship in 1993. He holds belts in multiple martial arts disciplines, and currently trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under a decorated black belt. Dan has an M.B.A. in Finance and Investment Management and a B.S. in Horticulture. Prior to joining Combat Press, his work appeared on The MMA Corner.
Matt is a lifelong fan of martial arts who, like many others, caught MMA fever after watching Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar during the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. Since then, his passion for combat sports has grown to include Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. A lifelong East Coast resident, Matt has lived in Philadelphia, Boston and now resides in his home state of Maryland.
Bryan Henderson became a fan of MMA in the late '90s when he happened upon the early UFC events on VHS at a local video rental store. He started writing about the sport on his Sporting News member blog in 2007 before becoming an official staff writer for Sporting News' "The Rumble" MMA/boxing blog. He went on to become a staff writer and the Features Manager for MMA DieHards before moving on to The MMA Corner, where he assumed the role of Editor-in-Chief. Bryan left The MMA Corner in 2014 and founded Combat Press along with two of his colleagues. In addition to covering mixed martial arts, Bryan also operated the Modified Mind body modification e-zine website for more than a decade.
A professional journalist since 1990, Guido Colombo reports of combat sports for www.gazzetta.it, the most viewed all sports news site in Italy. He also writes for multiple Italian fight blogs. Guido is a former member of Bellator Italy press office and an MMA, kickboxing and grappling coach. He manages professional fighters in Italy, as well as other countries.
Haran is a sports journalism graduate of the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, Surrey, UK. He is a lifelong sports fan and has had articles published in places such The Telegraph and 90Min. In recent years he has become an avid follower of MMA.
Based in Kansas City, Jeff has been an avid follower of the sport of MMA for years. He has supported nearly every promotion to visit the Midwest. Jeff began shooting events for The MMA Corner, but he has since moved on to his current position as a staff photographer for Combat Press.
Justyn Likes was born in Germany and raised on a military base. A fan of MMA since 2006, Justyn recently started writing about the sport in 2015. He has a Bachelor's in History and currently resides in San Antonio, Texas. Other than covering MMA, Justyn is a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan.
Matt Quiggins has been covering the sport of MMA since 2010. He was a contributing writer for Ultimate MMA Magazine from 2010-2014. Alongside his writing, Matt is also a photographer and frequents local amateur MMA events to support his community. He has recently started training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and currently resides in the Tampa Bay Area.
Phil has been capturing the world with a lens over the last decade. He has shot numerous sports including ice hockey, motocross and rodeo. However, Phil's true calling has come in the form of shooting combat sports.
Riley Kontek is a Chicago-land native that has been an addict of mixed martial arts since the first Chuck Liddell-Tito Ortiz encounter. He is a Featured Columnist for Bleacher Report MMA. In addition to that, he used to host a weekly radio show on MMA. His work has also appeared on The MMA Corner. Though he has no formal training in mixed martial arts, Riley is a master in the art of hockey fighting.
Zach Aittama became a fan of martial arts at an early age. Hooked on the sport after one experience, Zach started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai as a teenager. Watching the sport only increased his interest, building a fascination for combat sports around the globe. Years of training and amateur bouts later, Zach continues to train while working and attending school full-time. Zach started writing for Fight Sport Asia in 2014 and joined the Combat Press staff in July of 2015.
