FFC 28 Results: van Roosmalen Remain Unbeaten; Stošić, Danenberg Retain Titles

On Saturday, March 11, Final Fight Championship returned to Athens, Greece for FFC 28: Greece vs. Rest of the World.

In the evening’s mixed martial arts action, former GLORY lightweight and featherweight champion Robin van Roosmalen took on Macedonia’s Risto Dimitrov in his second career MMA fight. FFC heavyweight champion Darko Stošić returned against Bulgaria’s Emil Zahariev. Bellator veteran Andreas Michailidis took on Borce Talevski in his return to Greece. Croatian featherweight prospect and UFC veteran Filip Pejić met Greece’s Alexis Savvidis.

In the night’s kickboxing bouts, Samo Petje looked for revenge against Meletis Kakoubavas in a rematch of one of the best fights and knockouts of 2016. Kakoubavas put Petje out cold with an overhand right in the second round of a wild back-and-forth brawl. FFC welterweight champion Eyevan Danenberg took on Ivan Bilic.
