On Saturday, Oct. 20, GLORY Kickboxing held its 60th event from the Palais de Sports De Gerland in Lyon, France.
In the night’s headliner, former welterweight champion Cédric Doumbé took on countryman Jimmy Vienot. Doumbé was originally slated to challenge current titleholder Harut Grigorian, but the champion withdrew during fight week due to acute gastroenteritis. As such, Vienot stepped up on short notice to square off with the former king of the division. Vienot’s original opponent, Dmitrii Menshikov, met Samuel Dbili as part of night’s SuperFight Series.
Elsewhere on the SuperFight Series portion of the card, French light heavyweight Zinedine Hameur-Lain took on Brazilian Felipe Micheletti.
The five-fight GLORY 60 preliminary card streamed live on the promotion’s social platforms and Pluto TV channel 215 at 11:30 a.m. ET. The SuperFight Series followed at 1 p.m. ET live on UFC Fight Pass, with the main-card action kicking off at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN 3.
