You wouldn’t be here if you didn’t watch UFC 205, so let’s just skip the lede.

Amy Barton (@AmesBelle) joined the UFC 205 preview show and returned to discuss the aftermath on Rear-Naked Choke Radio with Jason Kelly (@JayKellyMMA).

Audio available for download on iTunes or on Stitcher Radio

Barton is the former host of Punch Drunk Radio and social media handler of MMA DieHards. She may not be in the MMA media game anymore, but she still keeps tabs on the UFC.  The self-proclaimed “Kick Ass Wonderchick” is joining us for back-to-back shows to discuss the history-making event that is UFC 205.

If you’re an MMA fan living under a rock, you may not know Conor McGregor now holds the UFC lightweight and featherweight belts. You might not have heard about the “Fight of the Night” between UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson. Maybe you didn’t know Miesha Tate retired. Perhaps you don’t know what sarcasm is, just saying.

Basically, what we’re saying is, there’s not a lot to tell you about the event that smashed pay-per-view buys and UFC live gate records, because you obviously watched it. You’re here, you’re listening and we’re talking UFC 205.

In the words of referee Big John McCarthy, “Let’s Get It On!”

His duties at MMA DieHards led to hosting MMA DieHards Radio and MMA Cypher Radio with Corey Charron, before going on to join Joe Rizzo's longtime-running show, Rear Naked Choke Radio. Following a short hiatus from covering the sport he loves, Jason joined the staff at Combat Press. Aside from his interest in MMA, Jason has a passion for hip hop, especially battle rap. He considers himself a hip hop connoisseur and is always up for a conversation on the subject.
