On Saturday, Feb. 11, the UFC hosted UFC 208: Holm vs. de Randamie from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
In the night’s main event, former women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm looked to add another belt to her collection as she took on Holland’s Germaine de Randamie for the inaugural women’s featherweight championship. Holm, a former 19-time boxing world champion, famously dethroned Ronda Rousey at UFC 193, but had stumbled against Miesha Tate and Valentina Shevchenko in her prior two Octagon appearances. De Randamie, a decorated kickboxer who once put together 37 straight wins in the ring, had tasted defeat just once since 2011, against current bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes.
The co-main event featured a middleweight match-up between former titleholder Anderson Silva and Derek Brunson.
The 10-fight event kicked off Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET with one fight streaming on UFC Fight Pass. Four additional preliminary card bouts followed at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1, with the five-fight main card airing live on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET.
