On Friday, Sept. 23 (in North America), the UFC will host UFC Fight Night 117: Saint Preux vs. Okami from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
In the night’s main event, former interim light heavyweight title challenger Ovince Saint Preux clashes with former middleweight title challenger Yushin Okami. Saint Preux was originally slated to rematch former champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, but the Brazilian was forced off the card. “OSP” is coming off a second-round submission win over Marcos Rogerio de Lima in April. Okami, meanwhile, returns to the Octagon for the first time since 2013. The veteran fighter rides a four-fight winning streak into the headlining affair.
Also on the card, strawweight contenders Claudia Gadelha and Jessica Andrade lock horns.
The 11-fight event kicks off Friday with one preliminary card bout streaming live on UFC Fight Pass at 7:30 p.m. ET. Four additional prelims follow at 8 p.m. ET on FXX. The six-fight main card airs at 10 p.m. ET, also on FXX.
