The RISE EL DORADO 2024 kickboxing fight card goes on on Mar. 17 live from Tokyo, Japan. This event will feature multiple K-1 vs. RISE matchups plus world title bouts. It is a stacked event from top to bottom.

Toki Tamaru vs. Shiro
The main event of RISE El Dorado 2024 will see Toki Tamaru look to earn his third division world title as he faces Shiro Matsumoto. The Japanese-born Tamaru had a marquee 2023 earning five victories and a tournament title. This adds further gold to his flyweight and super flyweight division championships. Tamaru was able to earn a spot on the pound-for-pound ranking plus earned the 2023 Fighter of the Year award.
The 22-year-old Tamaru is a defensive specialist who uses quick boxing combinations to exploit his opponents. Additionally, in his free time, the young athlete is an avid video game fan.
Tamaru will be going up in weight to try and capture the bantamweight title from Shiro. Japan’s Shiro is a Muay Thai-based striker who has earned titles in Rangsit Stadium and competed in the prestigious Lumpinee Stadium in multiple bouts. As a kickboxer, he has earned division titles in ISKA and RISE. The 30-year-old athlete enjoys collecting sneakers outside of combat sports.
Chadd Collins vs. Miguel Trindade
Australia’s Chadd Collins shocked the world at the end of 2023 with a unanimous decision victory against the long-reigning division king Petchpanomrung Kiatmuu9 who held titles in GLORY and RISE. In addition to his RISE gold, “The Shark” has also earned championships in Muay Thai in the WMC, WKA, and the WBC.
Collins will look to defend his RISE kickboxing title against Portugal’s Miguel Trindade. Trindade has experience in both ONE Championship and GLORY Kickboxing. Additionally, he earned European titles in WAKO and ISKA.
K-1 vs. RISE
This event will also feature multiple showdowns between K-1 and RISE, the two marquee Japanese kickboxing promotions. RISE champion Kan Nakamura will face the K-1 world champion Yuki Yoza. Yoza is a skilled fighter and Nakamura packs KO power in every shot.
Reigning K-1 division king Akihiro Kaneko will face former RISE champion, Masahiko Suzuki. Both of these fighters have earned a reputation for having some of the most exciting bouts in the sport. This has Fight of the Year written all over it.
Additionally, this K-1 vs. RISE series will see Ryu Hanaoka vs. Koji Ikeda, Hyuu vs. Ryuka, and Yuki Tanaka vs. Koya Saito.
In addition to the above bouts, Taiju Shiratori will face South Korea’s Lee Sung-hyun. Shiratori and Sung-hyun are former RISE titleholders. Also, RISE and ISKA division king Kazuki Osaki will face France’s Djillali Kharroubi.
