On Friday, Dec. 12, the UFC will host the weigh-ins for UFC on Fox 13: Dos Santos vs. Miocic which takes place Saturday, Dec. 13, from the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix.
In the night’s main event, former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos takes on fellow top-10 fighter Stipe Miocic. The Brazilian dos Santos has been out of action since suffering a fifth-round TKO loss to current champion Cain Velasquez in the pair’s rubber match at UFC 166. Miocic, meanwhile, will step into the Octagon riding a three-fight winning streak. The former collegiate All-American will look to establish himself as a true title threat against the former champion.
The co-main event of the evening features a lightweight clash between former title challenger Nate Diaz and Brazilian Rafael dos Anjos. Diaz has been absent from the Octagon since last November, when he scored a dominant, first-round TKO over Gray Maynard. Dos Anjos has earned wins in seven of his last eight bouts inside the cage. He put the division on notice in August, knocking out former champion Benson Henderson in the first round.
The 13-fight event kicks off Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET with three fights streaming on UFC Fight Pass. Six additional preliminary card bouts follow at 5 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1, with the four-fight main card airing live at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
The fighters will hit the scales at 5 p.m. ET on Friday. A live video feed appears above (courtesy of the UFC), while the results appear below.
