Contender Series Season 2, Week 6 Results: Hughes, Yusuff, Crute Get UFC Deals, Hooper Gets Developmental Contract

On Tuesday, July 24, UFC President Dana White hosted the sixth installment of season two of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. The promotion holds weekly events from The Ultimate Fighter Gym in Las Vegas, with White awarding UFC contracts to the night’s most impressive performances.

In the night’s main event, former WSOF lightweight title challenger Nick Newell clashed with undefeated Alex Munoz. Newell, who most recently competed under the LFA banner, had tasted defeat just once through 15 career bouts. Munoz, meanwhile, had finished three of his four career wins.
