On Saturday, June 3, the UFC will host UFC 212: Aldo vs. Holloway from the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
In the night’s main event, reigning featherweight champion José Aldo squares off with interim titleholder Max Holloway in a title unification bout. The 30-year-old Aldo relinquished his belt in late 2015 after a stunning knockout loss to Conor McGregor. The Brazilian rebounded with a dominant win over Frankie Edgar at UFC 200 to reclaim gold. Holloway, meanwhile, enters the bout riding a 10-fight winning streak. The Hawaiian earned the interim belt with a third-round finish of former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis at UFC 206.
The co-main features a pair of former strawweight title challengers as Brazil’s Claudia Gadelha takes on Poland’s Karolina Kowalkiewicz.
The 12-fight event kicks off Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ET with three fights streaming on UFC Fight Pass. Four additional preliminary card bouts followed at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1, with the five-fight main card airing live on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET.
