On Saturday, Jan. 20, the UFC will host UFC 220: Miocic vs. Ngannou from the TD Garden in Boston.
In the night’s main event, heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic puts his belt on the line against knockout artist Francis Ngannou. Miocic aims to make his third consecutive title defense. The Cleveland-based fighter has earned five straight stoppage victories including wins over former champions Junior dos Santos, Fabricio Werdum and Andrei Arlovski. France’s Ngannou enters the contest riding a 10-fight winning streak. During that stretch, he’s scored six victories inside the Octagon, including back-to-back knockout wins over Alistair Overeem and the aforementioned Arlovski.
Gold is also on the line in the co-main event as light heavyweight titleholder Daniel Cormier takes on challenger Volkan Oezdemir.
The 11-fight event kicks off Saturday at 7 p.m. ET with two fights streaming on UFC Fight Pass. Four additional preliminary-card bouts follow at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1, with the five-fight main card airing live on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET.
