UFC Signs Andrew Todhunter, Set to Debut at UFC 188

last-minute change has come to the UFC 188 lineup.

Andrew Todhunter is set to step in for The Ultimate Fighter 19 veteran Hector Urbina, who, according to Excelsior, has been ruled out due to an arm injury. Todhunter is slated to meet Albert Tumenov, who is currently riding a three-fight winning streak. The pair are expected to meet on the UFC Fight Pass preliminary card.

Todhunter is undefeated in professional competition, with all seven of his wins coming by way of submission. In his last two bouts, Todhunter appeared under the Legacy FC banner, where he defeated both Levi Avera and Art Parker in the first round of their respective bouts.

UFC 188 takes place on June 13 at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City. The event will be headlined by a heavyweight title unification bout between champion Cain Velasquez and interim titleholder Fabricio Werdum. In the co-main event, Gilbert Melendez and Eddie Alvarez will square off in a lightweight bout. The event will air live on pay-per-view, with the night’s preliminary card to be split between a stream on UFC Fight Pass and a broadcast on Fox Sports 1.
