Audio available for download on iTunes or on Stitcher Radio

Aguilar, the UFC’s newest 115-pound competitor, talked about it being the right time for her to enter MMA’s biggest promotion and grasp the most sought after championship belt in the sport. A former World Series of Fighting champion and Bellator top contender, Aguilar spoke about her journey in MMA, which began in 2006, and what it means to be an athlete under the UFC banner. The American Top Team product also shed light on The Ultimate Fighter 21, the all-female league known as Invicta FC and her personal relationship with president Shannon Knapp, living out her dream of fighting in Mexico, and how the UFC chapter of her career will begin with a victory over Claudia Gadelha, who she meets at UFC 190 on Aug. 1.

New to the show, Parker, a writer with equal passion and knowledge about MMA, took part in this episode as a guest co-host, but his insight on legalizing MMA in New York made him simply a guest on some accounts. The news about MMA, in particular the UFC, breaking into NY is an ongoing topic of discussion. Parker provided in-depth details to the prevention of mixed martial arts in The Empire State, plus the strong possibility of the sport being legalized there and what to expect if it is.
