On Saturday, Dec. 7, the UFC touched down in the nation’s capital for its seventh event on ESPN.

In the main event, former heavyweight title challenger Alistair Overeem met undefeated Suriname native Jairzinho Rozenstruik. The 39-year-old Overeem had reeled off back-to-back first-round finishes inside the Octagon. Rozenstruik had opened his MMA career with nine straight wins, including two straight knockouts over Andrei Arlovski and Allen Crowder.

The event kicked off with a preliminary-card stream on ESPN+ at 5:45 p.m. ET. The action moved to ESPN at 7 p.m. ET for the remainder of the prelims. The night’s main card took place at 9 p.m. ET, also on ESPN.
