On Friday, Nov. 1, Invicta Fighting Championships will host its 38th event from Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan.
In the night’s main event, flyweight champion Vanessa Porto makes the first defense of her 125-pound title against Mexico’s Karina Rodríguez. The Brazilian Porto defeated UFC veteran Pearl Gonzalez at Invicta FC 34 to capture the belt. Rodriguez earned her shot at gold with a narrow decision win over UFC alum DeAnna Bennett in the Invicta FC 36 headliner.
Gold is also on the line in the co-main event as Japan’s Kanako Murata takes on former Bellator flyweight title challenger Emily Ducote for the vacant strawweight championship.
