Bellator 202 Results: Budd Pounds Out Nogueira, McDonald Crushes Dantas

On Friday, July 13, Bellator MMA hosted its 202nd event from the WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Okla.

In the night’s main event, women’s featherweight champion Julia Budd met challenger Talita Nogueira. Canada’s Budd captured the belt at Bellator 174 last March with a TKO win over Marloes Coenen. She then defended the title against Arlene Blencowe in December. Brazil’s Nogueira, meanwhile, had yet to taste defeat in her MMA career. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist made her promotional debut in August, submitting Amanda Bell in the first round.

The event kicked off with a preliminary-card stream on the promotion’s website at 7 p.m. ET. The main card followed live at 9 p.m. ET on the Paramount Network.
