On Thursday, June 21, the Professional Fighters League continued its 2018 regular season from the Windy City, touching down at the Chicago Theater.
In the night’s main card action, UFC and Bellator veteran Will Brooks looked for redemption and the $1 million dollar prize in the PFL lightweight tournament when he took on experienced World Series of Fighting main stay Luiz “Buscape” Firmino. Brooks was riding a three-fight losing streak following his release from the UFC. Firmino returned to the win column with a first-round knockout against Eddy Ellis at PFL: Everett.
Also, two-time Olympic gold medalist in judo, Kayla Harrison, made her anticipated debut against Bellator veteran Brittney Elkin.
The preliminary card aired live at 6 p.m. ET on Facebook. The main card continued on NBC Sports Network at 9 p.m. ET.
