Invicta FC 26 Set for Dec. 8 in Kansas City with Maia-Niedźwiedź Title Clash

Invicta Fighting Championships 26 has a date and location.

The all-women promotion returns to action from the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Mo., on Friday, Dec. 8. The event streams live on UFC Fight Pass at 8 p.m. ET.

Flyweight champion Jennifer Maia will defend her 125-pound title against undefeated Polish fighter Agnieszka Niedźwiedź in the night’s main event. Brazil’s Maia is coming off back-to-back championship battles with Roxanne Modafferi and Vanessa Porto. Niedźwiedź, meanwhile, kept her perfect record intact in May, besting the aforementioned Porto by unanimous decision in the Invicta FC 23 main event.

In the co-main event, Japan’s Mizuki Inoue returns to the Invicta cage against Brazilian Janaisa Morandin. The 23-year-old Inoue enters the contest having won four straight, including a second-round armbar finish of Lynn Alvarez in her most recent Invicta appearance. Morandin fell short an action-packed bout with former champion Livia Renata Souza at Invicta FC 25, but took home “Fight of the Night” honors for her efforts.

Also on the card, the former flyweight title challenger Porto takes on Australia’s Jessica-Rose “Jessy Jess” Clark.

More bouts for the event are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
