On Saturday, Aug. 5, the UFC hosted UFC Fight Night 114: Pettis vs. Moreno from the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico.
In the night’s main event, a pair of 23-year-old flyweights locked horns as Sergio Pettis took on Brandon Moreno. Pettis, the younger brother of former lightweight champion Anthony, entered the match-up having won three straight and five of his last six inside the Octagon. Mexico’s Moreno, meanwhile, had won 11 consecutive bouts with seven coming via submission. He most recently submitted Dustin Ortiz in April.
The 12-fight event kicked off with two preliminary card bouts streaming live on UFC Fight Pass at 7 p.m. ET. Four additional preliminary card bouts followed at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1, with the six-fight main card airing live at 10 p.m. ET, also on Fox Sports 1.
