On Saturday, July 16, Bellator MMA made its first visit to England forĀ Bellator 158: London which took place from theĀ The O2 in London.
In the night’s main event, British knockout artist Paul Daley clashed with former welterweight champion Douglas Lima. The 33-year-old Daley entered the contest having won five straight, including three in a row inside the Bellator cage. “Semtex” had earned back-to-back knockout victories. Lima, meanwhile, looked to bounce back from a decision loss to championĀ Andrey Koreshkov in his last outing. Prior to that, the Brazilian had won five straight of his own.
Also on the card, UFC veterans Matt Mitrione and Oli Thompson met at heavyweight, and striking stalwart Michael “Venom” Page battled veteran Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos.
The event airs via tape-delay in North America with the main card airing at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday.
