On Friday, May 13, EFC Worldwide will hold its 49th event from theĀ Big Top Arena in Carnival City, Johannesburg,Ā South Africa.
In the night’s main event,Ā the promotion’sĀ vacant middleweight title will be up for grabs as South Africa’s J.P. Kruger tangles with England’s Yannick Bahati. Kruger has challenged for gold before, but came up short against former championĀ Garreth McLellan at EFC 28. Four of Kruger’s six wins have come via submission. Bahati, meanwhile, is a finisher, having stopped four of his five foes, including three inside the first round.
EFC 49 kicks off Friday with the preliminary card at 16:45 CAT. The main cardĀ follows at 20:00 CAT.
