On Saturday, April 23, Kunlun Fighting Championship returned to the Zhoukou Stadium in Henan, China, for Kunlun Fight 43. The stacked fight card featured two 70-kilogram kickboxing qualifying tournaments, including one four-man group featuring the pound-for-pound top kickboxer in the world, Sittichai Sitsongpeenong.
In the main event of the evening, The Ultimate Fighter China winner Zhang Lipeng looked for his sixth consecutive win when he faced Japanese MMA veteran Takashi Noto. Lipeng won the Kunlun Fight 165-pound championship in his most recent outing against Beibit Nazarov at Kunlun Fight 37 this past January. Noto brought two consecutive knockout wins into his promotional debut.
In the rest of the main card action, two of the world’s top welterweight kickboxers clashed when Artur Kyshenko took on GLORY contender Murthel Groenhart. Two prospect-loaded one-night tournaments highlighted the high-level kickboxing portion of this card. One of the best female kickboxers in the world, Wang Kehan, returned to action against former Enfusion title challenger Rachel Adamus
All of the action started live on YY.com and JiangsuTV at 6:00 a.m. ET.
