RFA 36 Results: Camus Dominates Brown, Blumer Submits Murphy

On Friday, March 4, Resurrection Fighting Alliance held its 36th event from the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minn. The night’s main card aired live on AXS TV at 10 p.m. ET.

The card was slated to be headlined by the promotion’s featherweight champion, Raoni Barcelos. The Brazilian was looking to make the first defense of his title against unbeaten prospect Landon Vannata. However, Vannata missed weight for the title affair and the bout was pulled from the card. Barcelos captured the belt with a dominant decision win over Ricky Musgrave at RFA 29 last August. The win marked the third triumph inside the RFA cage for the Brazilian. Vannata, meanwhile, was expected to make his second appearance under the RFA banner. Through seven career fights, he’d yet to taste defeat and had stopped six before the final bell.

As a result of the change, the bout between UFC veteran Chico Camus and Matt Brown was elevated to the main event.
