Conor McGregor was scheduled to fight for the UFC lightweight title at UFC 196 on March 5, but the champion, Rafael dos Anjos, broke his foot and withdrew from the bout.
Rear-Naked Choke Radio host Jason Kelly (@JayKellyMMA) looked at the best options to save the event’s main attraction.

Nate Diaz, Donald Cerrone, Anthony Pettis and Eddie Alvarez are a few of the rumored options. Kelly compared the front runners for “Red Panty Night,” and explained who he thinks it should be and why.
Kelly also talked about the UFC 196 co-main event, a women’s bantamweight championship bout between Holly Holm and Miesha Tate, and why the UFC can’t simply move them to the main event slot and scrap the McGregor bout.
Other options were discussed that do not include McGregor, but with time running out, the UFC is needs to act fast to repair a card that is only 10 days away.
