On Friday, Sept. 16, Bellator MMA will host its 161st event from the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park, Texas.
In the night’s main event, former heavyweight title challenger Cheick Kongo meets Tony Johnson. The 41-year-old Frenchman Kongo has won four of his last five since falling short in his quest for Bellator gold. He most recently defeated Vinicius Kappke de Queiroz in February via split decision. Johnson, meanwhile, enters the contest having won three straight and six of his last seven. The 30-year-old holds wins over former UFC champion Tim Sylvia, former Bellator titleholder Alexander Volkov and current UFC combatant Derrick Lewis.
Also on the main card, former two-division titleholder Joe Warren returns to action against Sirwan Kakai.
The action kicks off on Friday at 6:50 p.m. ET with a live preliminary card stream above (courtesy of Bellator MMA). The night’s main card airs live on Spike TV beginning at 9 p.m. ET.
