On Friday, Nov. 20, the UFC will host the weigh-ins for UFC Fight Night 78: Magny vs. Gastelum which takes place Saturday, Nov. 21, from the Monterrey Arena in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
In the night’s main event, a pair of The Ultimate Fighter veterans lock horns as Neil Magny faces off with Kelvin Gastelum. Magny will be stepping up on short notice as Gastelum’s original opponent, Matt Brown, was forced out due to injury. The Colorado-based fighter has won eight of his last night bouts in the Octagon, including a decision win over Erick Silva in late August. Gastelum, meanwhile, returns to the welterweight division following a brief stint at middleweight after failing to make weight. The 24-year-old’s lone loss came against Tyron Woodley in January.
The 13-fight event kicks off Saturday with three preliminary card bouts streaming live on UFC Fight Pass at 6:30 p.m. ET. Four additional prelims follow on Fox Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET, with the six-fight main card taking place at 10 p.m. ET, also on Fox Sports 1.
The fighters will hit the scales at 6 p.m. ET on Friday. A live video feed appears above (courtesy of the UFC), while the results appear below.
