Bellator 144: Halsey vs. Carvalho Weigh-in Video and Results

On Thursday, Oct. 22, Bellator MMA will host the weigh-ins for its 144th event which takes place Friday, Oct. 23, from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

The main event features a battle for the vacant middleweight championship. Former champion Brandon Halsey looks to regain the belt he once held when takes on Brazilian Rafael Carvalho. Halsey was stripped of the title after missing weight for his first defense at Bellator 137 in May. He went on to defeat UFC veteran Kendall Grove to earn another crack at gold. Carvalho, meanwhile, has not tasted defeat since his MMA debut in 2011. He’s earned back-to-back wins in the Bellator cage, stopping Brian Rogers and edging Joe Schilling by decision.

Also on the main card, knockout artist Brennan Ward meets Dennis Olson, British striking stalwart Michael Page takes on Charlie Ontiveros and featherweight Goiti Yamauchi welcomes countryman Isao Kobayashi to the promotion.
