Anatoly Malykhin (R) (ONE Championship)

Anatoly Malykhin vs. Oumar Kane Set to Be a Banger at ONE 169

On Friday, Nov. 8, ONE 169 will now be held at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Headlining the card will be the ONE Championship heavyweight title bout between three-division champ Anatoly Malykhin and Oumar “Reug Reug” Kane.

The undefeated Malykhin first won the interim heavyweight title back in Feb. 2022, when he scored a knockout in the second round against Kirill Grishenko. That December, he scored a first-round knockout of Reinier de Ridder to pick up the ONE light heavyweight title. In Jun. 2023, he finished Arjan Bhullar by TKO in the third round to unify the heavyweight title, and in Mar. 2024, he retired de Ridder in their rematch to secure the middleweight title. Needless to say, at 14-0, the Russian brawler has been an unstoppable force in MMA.

Kane will have his hands full at ONE 169, but he is no pushover. He last fought in a ONE Muay Thai bout in July of this year, when he knocked out Mamadou Kamara in the first round. Entering that bout, he was 6-1 in MMA, where he last won a unanimous decision over Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida in Aug. 2023. With four knockouts, he will look to land his devastating power on the Russian champ.
