Rodtang Jitmuangnon (ONE Championship)

Rodtang to Rematch Jacob Smith at ONE 169 in a Title Bout

In May 2023, Rodtang Jitmuangnon made his U.S. debut at ONE FIght Night 10 to thunderous applause.

Thankfully, the American fanbase won’t have to wait much longer to witness “The Iron Man” in action live once again, as he has been added to the  ONE 169: Atlanta lineup.

Rodtang will return to defend the ONE flyweight Muay Thai championship against Jacob Smith at the Nov. 8 event.

Their meeting will be a rematch between the two talented strikers, who first met in a three-round non-title matchup at ONE 167. That night, Rodtang took home the unanimous decision victory, but Smith walked away confident that he could compete against the divisional king.

The Thai superstar’s reign has continued since then, and he has also kept pace as the top-ranked flyweight kickboxing, with his last outing being a unanimous decision win in June over Denis Puric in the striking art.

Rodtang will attempt to retain his long-held throne inside State Farm Arena, but there is little doubt that Smith is going to do everything in his power to turn Atlanta into Upset City when they meet at the thrilling event.

Along with their engagement, ONE 169 is set to feature three additional championship bouts.

ONE heavyweight MMA champion Anatoly Malykhin will defend the crown against “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane, ONE lightweight MMA champion Christian Lee makes his return to put the gold on the line against Alibeg Rasulov, and ONE featherweight Muay Thai champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai will look to put a cap on his rivalry with “Smokin” Jo Nattawut in a trilogy matchup.

The Nov. 8 spectacle is already shaping up to be a jaw-dropping event – and only four bouts have been announced thus far.

Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster. ONE 169: Atlanta will air live on Prime Video on Friday, Nov. 8.
