Every month, Combat Press will provide MMA rankings for each weight class from heavyweight to flyweight, as well as the pound-for-pound rankings (including all genders).

Note: the numbers in parentheses represent the fighter’s ranking from the previous month.

At UFC 302, No. 7 Jailton Almeida landed a rear-naked choke on Alexander Romanov in the first round. Three weeks later, No. 6 Alexander Volkov won a unanimous decision over No. 4 Sergei Pavlovich at UFC Saudi Arabia. Volkov and Pavlovich swap spots in the rankings.

On Jun. 22, unranked Volkan Oezdemir knocked out No. 10 Johnny Walker in the first round at UFC Saudi Arabia. A week later, light heavyweight titleholder Alex Pereira scored a TKO over No., 2 Jiří Procházka in their rematch against at UFC 303. Also, No. 4 Glover Teixeira retired in Jan. 2023, and was finally removed from the rankings after 18 months of inactivity. So, there was a shift up in the standings, Walker and Teixeira fell out, and Oezdemir and Guskov enter in the bottom two spots.

To kick off the month, No. 2 Sean Strickland defeated No. 8 Paulo Costa at UFC 302. A week later, at UFC Louisville, unranked Nassourdine Imavov won a TKO victory over No. 5 Jared Cannonier. Finally, two weeks after that, No. 4 middleweight Robert Whittaker scored a first-round TKO over Ikram Aliskerov at the UFC event in Saudi Arabia. Imavov enters at No. 5, Cannonier drops to No. 9, the rest of the bottom half adjusts accordingly, and Derek Brunson falls out of the rankings.

On Jun. 22, at Bellator Champions Series 3, Ramazan Kuramagomedov won a unanimous decision over Jason Jackson to capture the welterweight title. A week later, at UFC 303, Ian Garry won a unanimous decision over Michael “Venom” Page. There was a small shake-up in the bottom of the rankings, and, ultimately, Kuramagomedov enters at No. 10, Jackson falls out, and a couple fighters moved around.
