For Ken and Jewelz Lee, life has been all about martial arts. Both of them are lifelong, and highly accomplished, martial artists with belts in multiple disciplines. They have both coached and competed in martial arts, and they passed the lifestyle along to their four children – from oldest to youngest, Angela, Christian, Victoria and Adrian.
Angela and Christian were both born in Vancouver, B.C. before their parents moved them to Hawaii when they were seven and five years old, respectively. Shortly after, their sister Victoria was born, followed by their younger brother Adrian a couple years later.
The Lee family is a very tight one and their lives revolve around martial arts. While their family gym, United MMA Hawaii, opened almost 10 years ago, Angela and Christian also spent time training at Evolve MMA in Singapore. The two have made big waves in their still-young MMA careers, as both have been fighting under the ONE Championship banner since 2015, and both have won and defended titles on multiple occasions.
In 2021, at 16 years of age, Victoria followed suit, joining ONE after becoming a Pankration and IMMAF Junior World Champion in 2019. She made her pro debut in Feb. 2021, and by the end of Sep. 2021, she was already 3-0 as a pro with three finishes. However, wanting to finish up high school, she took 2022 off from fighting, but certainly not from training, and she was set to fight again at ONE Fight Night 6 in Jan. 2023. However, before the turn of the New Year, tragedy struck.
On Jan. 7, Angela, who hadn’t put up an Instagram post since Dec. 24, posted a picture of Victoria, and a message stating that her sister had passed away on Dec. 26. While the cause of Victoria’s death is still unknown to the public, the Lee family has been largely silent online. Christian has not posted since Adrian won his latest Panrkation title in mid-Dec., and Adrian has only posted one childhood picture of himself and Victoria at the end of January. Needless to say the Lee family is devastated. In fact, they have closed their gym with no sign of re-opening.
The loss of Victoria is not just a devastating loss for the Lee family, but a tough one for ONE Championship, as well as MMA fans around the world She was undefeated and on her way to superstardom before her 18th birthday. She was slightly longer than her older sister and had a big future ahead. No matter who it is around the world, this is a tough loss to deal with, and the Combat Press staff sends their condolences to the entire Lee family. Victoria was a bright spirit who was taken away too soon.
The Lees are very family-oriented, and the two brought into the world four wonderful children – from oldest to youngest, Angela, Christian, Victoria and Adrian.
