On Saturday, Aug. 10, the UFC hosted its 14th event on ESPN+ from the Antel Arena in Montevideo, Uruguay.
In the night’s main event, women’s flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko put her belt on the line against former bantamweight title challenger Liz Carmouche. The pair met previously in 2010 with Carmouche handing the then-undefeated Shevchenko her first career defeat due to a cut. Shevchenko has won three straight since dropping to 125 pounds, while Carmouche entered the title conquest having won four of her last five.
Shevchenko dominated the fight, taking the judges’ scorecards.
In the co-main event, Vicente Luque and Mike Perry put on a very entertaining fight with Perry’s nose getting completely smashed. Luque took the scorecards for the win.
