On Saturday, June 22, GLORY Kickboxing returned to France, hosting its 66th event from the Zenith Paris – La Villette in Paris.
In the night’s main event, multiple-time welterweight champion Cédric Doumbé put his belt on the line in his home country against Azerbaijani fighter Alim Nabiyev. The pair met previously at GLORY 51, with Nabiyev claiming victory by split decision. Doumbé recaptured the belt with a second-round finish of Harut Grigorian in March to set up the rematch.
Two other belts were on the line at the event as women’s super bantamweight champion Anissa Meksen defended against Sofia Olofsson in the co-main event and light heavyweight titleholder Artem Vakhitov headlined the SuperFight Series against challenger Donegi Abena.
The preliminary-card action kicked off at 11:30 a.m. ET on the promotion’s YouTube page. The SuperFight Series followed at 1 p.m. ET on UFC Fight Pass, with the main card streaming at 3 p.m. ET, also on UFC Fight Pass.
