On Saturday, Nov. 17, the UFC made its first trip to Argentina, hosting UFC Fight Night 140: Magny vs. Ponzinibbio from the Parque Roca Arena in Buenos Aires.
The night’s main event featured a match-up between Ultimate Fighter veterans as Neil Magny took on fellow welterweight Santiago Ponzinibbio. Magny entered the headlining affair having won three of his last four. Among those victories are decisions wins over former titleholders Johny Hendricks and Carlos Condit. Ponzinibbio, meanwhile, had the opportunity to fight in front of his hometown crowd. The Argentinian reeled off six straight wins, including three by knockout.
The 12-fight event kicked off with two fights streaming live on UFC Fight Pass at 7 p.m. ET. Four additional preliminary-card bouts followed at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1, with the six-fight main card aired live at 10 p.m. ET, also on Fox Sports 1.
