On Saturday, April 29, HBO and Showtime Boxing combined forces in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
The event was headlined by a heavyweight slugfest between undefeated IBF titleholder Anthony Joshua and former divisional king Wladimir Klitschko.
The back-and-forth bout saw Joshua knockdown Klitschko in the fifth round, only to suffer the first knockdown of his career in the sixth frame. The pair battled deep into the fight, with Joshua landing a vicious uppercut in the 11th round to earn his second knockdown of the bout. The British slugger smelled blood and went for the kill, earning a third and final knockdown before referee David Fields halted the contest.
With the victory, Joshua moved to 19-0, with all 19 wins coming before the final bell. In addition to retaining his IBF strap, Joshua picked up the vacant WBA title as well.
