Legacy FC 58 Results: Drysdale Submits Spann, Dern Impresses in Debut

On Friday, July 22, Legacy Fighting Championship held its 58th event from the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Lake Charles, La.

The event was headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between grappling ace Robert Drysdale and veteran Ryan Spann. The multiple-time world champion Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and UFC veteran Drysdale has finished all seven of his career fights by first-round submission. He was, however, competing for the first time in two years after a failed drug test for elevated testosterone levels. Spann, meanwhile, had won four of his last five. His lone loss came in a failed bid for the Legacy middleweight belt against Leonardo Leite.

Also on the card, decorated women’s grappler Mackenzie Dern made her MMA debut against Kenia Rosas.
