ONE Championship ‘Ascent to Power’ Results: Lee, Gracie Capture Belts

On Friday, May 6, ONE Championship returned to the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore for Ascent to Power.

In the night’s main event, the promotion crowned its inaugural women’s atomweight champion as undefeated Hawaiian Angela Lee met Japanese veteran Mei Yamaguchi. The 19-year-old Lee, who trains out of Evolve MMA in Singapore, had opened her career with five straight submission wins inside the ONE FC cage. Yamaguchi, meanwhile, made her promotional debut on the heels of three straight victories.

The co-main event also featured gold on the line as multiple-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion Roger Gracie clashed with unbeaten Polish fighter Michal Pasternak to crown the first-ever light heavyweight champion.
