Bellator 150: Kongo vs. Queiroz Fight Night Photo Gallery

On Friday, Feb. 26, Bellator MMA hosted its 150th event from the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kan.

The event was scheduled to be headlined by a bantamweight title fight between former training partners Marcos Galvão and Eduardo Dantas. The two Brazilians met previously at Bellator 89 in 2013 with Dantas winning by second-round knockout. Dantas would lose the title to Joe Warren in 2014, allowing Galvão to ascend to the top of the division. However, the champion Galvão fell ill during fight week and the fight was pulled from the card.

As a result, the co-main event between UFC veterans Cheick Kongo and Vinicius Queiroz was elevated to the night’s top billing. Kongo, who fell short in his bid for Bellator gold against Vitaly Minakov, rebounded with wins in three of his last four Bellator appearances. Queiroz, meanwhile, had won back-to-back fights, one via knockout and one via submission.
