On Saturday, Oct. 13, Bellator MMA hosted its 208th event from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y.

In the night’s main event, the promotion’s heavyweight grand prix continued as MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko took on former UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen. The Russian Emelianenko entered the match-up having won six of his last seven bouts. The 42-year-old starched former UFC champion Frank Mir in just 48 seconds to advance to the semifinals. Sonnen, meanwhile, had won back-to-back fights for the first time since 2012. He dominated Quinton “Rampage” Jackson with his wrestling to set up the match-up with Emelianenko.

The co-main event featured former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson against Saad Awad.

The night’s preliminary card streamed on the promotion’s website beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The five-fight main card was simulcast on the Paramount Network and DAZN at 9 p.m. ET.
