During the UFC Fight Night 57 broadcast from Austin, Texas on Saturday night, the UFC announced their return to Newark, N.J. on Saturday, April 18.

The card will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark and will serve as UFC on Fox 15.

The last time the promotion visited the venue was for UFC 169 in February. Then-champions Renan Barao and Jose Aldo defended their respective belts versus Urijah Faber and Ricardo Lamas.

The former bantamweight title holder Barao made quick work of Faber in the pair’s rematch of their UFC 149 headlining affair. The Brazilian scored a first-round TKO to retain his belt. However, Barao would fall to Faber’s protege, T.J. Dillashaw later in the year.

In that nights’ co-main event, the featherweight kingpin Aldo was able to dictate and control a very game Lamas to score a unanimous decision victory. Aldo continued his reign by besting Chad Mendes in October.

The UFC on Fox 15 main card will air live on Fox beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 18. The night’s preliminary card is expected to air on Fox Sports 1. More news, including the night’s headlining bout, are expected to be announced in the weeks to come.
