On Thursday, Nov. 7, DAZN hosted Inoue vs. Donaire from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
In the night’s headliner, Japan’s own Naoya Inoue battled veteran Nonito Donaire. The pair were competing for not only the IBF and WBA bantamweight titles, but also the World Boxing Super Series crown and Muhammad Ali Trophy. The 26-year-old Inoue outlasted the veteran Filipino Donaire and walked away with the titles and the trophy in front on his countrymen.
The co-main event also featured action in the bantamweight division as Nordine Oubaali handled Naoya’s brother, Takuma, over 12 rounds to retain his WBC strap.
