In the night’s main event, talented Mexican prospect Luis Nery remained undefeated with a second-round TKO stoppage of former WBC world bantamweight champion Shinsuke Yamanaka. However, Nery missed weight badly at the weigh-ins and was ineligible to win the vacant WBC title.
Also, IBF world super bantamweight titleholder Ryosuke Iwasa defended his belt for the first time against the Philippine’s Ernesto Saulong.
