On Saturday, Dec. 3, Cage Muay Thai returned for their ninth installment from Queensland, Australia for Caged Muay Thai 9.
In the evening’s main event, the promotion’s creator John Wayne Parr returned for his seventh fight with the promotion. The former multiple-time Muay Thai world champion had earned five wins in his six bouts inside the cage with solid victories over top-10 kickboxer Yohan Lidon, Jordan Tai and Marco Piqué. The Australian most recently defeated Daniel Dawson at Origins 8 in October. Parr took on Canadian fighter Matthew Richardson, who is based out of Thailand.
