As MMA continues to grow its presence with the UFC, Bellator MMA, WSOF and ONE FC, fighters are constantly jockeying for position in the eyes (and rankings) of the media.
Every week, Combat Press will rank each weight class from heavyweight to flyweight, as well as the pound-for-pound rankings (including both genders).

The most meaningful bout of UFC Fight Night 78 in Monterrey, Mexico, was the flyweight clash between Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo and Brazil’s Jussier “Formiga” da Silva. It was a razor-close fight through two rounds, but Cejudo was too much for Formiga in the final frame. As such, Cejudo leapfrogs Formiga in the rankings and has likely wrapped up a title shot against champion Demetrious Johnson.
