The lightweight division saw some changes near the bottom of the top 10 after Brazilian Edson Barboza topped Bobby Green at UFC Fight Night 57. Green relinquished his 10th spot, and coupled with the 18 months of inactivity that knocked Canadian T.J. Grant from the rankings, Barboza vaults into the No. 9 slot. Grant’s removal also opened the door for Myles Jury to enter the top 10 as he prepares for his UFC 182 clash with No. 6-ranked Donald Cerrone.

This week’s most dominant performance came from former UFC lightweight titleholder Frankie Edgar. “The Answer” thoroughly dominated Cub Swanson in the main event of UFC Fight Night 57, putting him away with a fifth-round submission. The loss saw Swanson’s six-fight winning streak snapped, and Edgar moved into his No. 3 ranking. Also of note, South Korean Chan Sung Jung has been removed from the rankings due to his two-year military service.
