On Saturday, May 19, Premier Boxing Champions brought the ring to MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Md., for Russell Jr. vs. Diaz.

In the night’s main event, WBC world featherweight champ Gary Russell Jr. defended his title against undefeated undefeated NABF featherweight titleholder Joseph Diaz Jr. Russell Jr. had only tasted defeat against pound-for-pound great Vasyl Lomachenko. Diaz Jr., a 2012 Olympian, had won all 26 of his professional bouts.

The event aired live at 9 p.m. ET on Showtime.
