On Tuesday, July 11, UFC President Dana White debuted a new promotion dubbed Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. The promotion will hold weekly events from The Ultimate Fighter Gym in Las Vegas.

The promotion’s first installment was headlined by a featherweight clash featuring UFC and Strikeforce veteran Kurt Holobaugh and Bellator and CES MMA veteran Matt Bessette. Holobaugh entered the match-up having won three straight under the Titan FC banner, including a fourth-round TKO finish of Gesias Cavalcante in May. Bessette, meanwhile, rode the momentum of seven straight victories, all coming before the final bell.

The five-fight event streamed live on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
