China’s Li Kai Wen was carving out a name for himself in ONE Championship. The dangerous fighter had put together a four-fight winning streak in the competitive bantamweight division. The Brazilian-born Andrade merely had one win thus far.

With a series of stinging punches, Andrade walked away the winner in this matchup with a first-round knockout victory.

3. Fabricio Andrade vs. Kwon Won Il

Both Andrade and Kwon Won Il were on knockout win streaks coming into their world title eliminator matchup. The powerful South Korean striker was looking to add to his three consecutive knockout wins.

Instead, the young Brazilian was able to extend his knockout win streak with a body kick knockout just a minute into the first round of their fight. This was the fight that made Demetrious John say, “Fabricio Andrade, he’s fucking good.” Next, Wonder Boy would meet “Hands of Stone” John Lineker for the world title.

2. Fabricio Andrade vs. John Lineker I

The young Andrade was finally booked to face the veteran MMA fighter “Hands of Stone” John Lineker. Linker had fought in nearly fifty bouts through his storied career and was known for the power in his hands wherever he fought.

Lineker had knocked out the long-reigning world champion Bibiano Fernandes to capture the throne. His first defense was to be against Andrade. Wonder Boy, the underdog, came into the matchup and proved the world wrong.

Quickly, Andrade took control of the fight with lightning-quick combinations mixed with kicks. Lineker, the career power striker, was forced to dive for takedowns just to survive. Ultimately, the world championship match ended as a no-contest due to an inadvertent groin strike.

The two Brazilian strikers would face each other once again, although this time Andrade was the favorite going in. Throughout the fight, Wonder Boy proved why he deserved to sit on the division throne.
